The CAN.HEAL project aimed to advance the use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genetic profiling to support personalized treatment decisions across the EU, while establishing training to address the educational needs and literacy of healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public. Our team contributed by developing targeted e-learning modules and learning pathways for multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including Molecular Tumour Boards, conducting gap analyses and thematic workshops to identify training needs, and leading patient and public literacy initiatives through creative educational materials and a FAIR, open-access repository of training resources. Pilot activities in Greece, Italy, Germany, and Spain ensured scalable, harmonized education and empowered patients and professionals across Europe.
