CGI-Clinics

CGI-Clinics is a data-driven cancer genome interpretation for personalized cancer treatment. This initiative aims to improve personalized medicine in oncology by optimizing genomic data interpretation through a systematic automatic learning platform to support clinical decision-making across Europe. Our team contributed by focusing on the communication and psychosocial aspects of precision medicine. We worked on improving the way genomic information is communicated in clinical practice, creating training materials and workshops to strengthen clinicians’ communication skills and empower patients to take an active role in shared decision-making. In this way, we ensured that the CGI-Clinics platform is not only scientifically robust but also patient-centered, enhancing both understanding and trust in personalised cancer care. Additionally we had input in eduCGI, an app to help patients understand the information gained through interpretation of their tumors, facilitating informed discussions with clinicians and sharing their data for research.
