Patient empowerment is a fundamental pillar of modern healthcare. Our research explores the psychosocial and behavioral factors affecting treatment adherence, adjustment to illness, decision-making processes and delivering effective psychological interventions. We investigate innovative care models that integrate patients’ needs and preferences, with a strong focus on enhancing their autonomy, improving their quality of life, and facilitating their active participation in their healthcare journey.
