AHEAD Project focuses on promoting responsible and trustworthy implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in high-impact sectors such as biomedicine and healthcare. The project brings together a diverse, transdisciplinary community of professionals from AI, ethics, law, sociology, psychology, biomedicine, and related fields to develop guidelines, methodologies, and platforms for evaluating AI systems. Our team, CERTH-Psy, contributes specifically by overseeing social indicators and metrics, defining methodologies to assess the human and societal impacts of AI, and integrating psychological and ethical considerations into AI development. Through these efforts, AHEAD builds tools to evaluate AI applications, ensuring they comply with legal, ethical, scientific, and regulatory standards. The project also fosters transdisciplinary dialogue, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge exchange to promote responsible AI innovation that enhances healthcare quality, supports patient and professional well-being, and adapts to the fast-changing AI landscape.
