eCAN

This project aimed to harmonize telemedicine and remote monitoring in cancer prevention and care across the EU, addressing inequalities in timely diagnosis, access to treatment, and patient outcomes, especially during health crises such as COVID-19. Our team contributed by leading training and patient empowerment activities, implementing participatory design processes, and supporting stakeholder engagement. We conducted needs assessments for patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff, co-created educational guides and training materials to enhance patient empowerment, shared decision-making, and communication skills. We also supported the development and testing of digital tools and telehealth pilots, ensuring high user acceptance and sustainability of the project’s outcomes.
