HIV Holistic Assessment – Greece
This project performed a comprehensive assessment of individuals living with HIV in Greece, identifying their clinical, psychological, and social needs as well as those of their physicians to highlight gaps in the healthcare system. Our team conducted interviews and questionnaires on treatment beliefs and adherence and measured frailty , and collected data across HIV clinics involving both patients and healthcare professionals. We carried out both qualitative and quantitative analyses to map clinical and psychological characteristics, particularly those related to frailty syndrome and its early onset.
Expansion I – HIV Holistic Assessment – Cyprus
This expansion replicated the Greek study in a Cypriot HIV clinic, focusing on clinical and psychological characteristics. While it did not include qualitative interviews, it collected data on treatment adherence, frailty, and additionally assessed anxiety and depression among patients.
Expansion II – Combined Data Secondary Analysis
In this initiative, data from the Greek and Cypriot assessments were combined to perform secondary analyses using Network Theory. This work investigated factors impacting quality of life and frailty in people living with HIV and will guide the development of interventions addressing both clinical and psychological needs.
